Наш мир год от года становится всё более пугающим местом. В двадцатые годы мы все увидели небывалое наступление государств по всему миру на права и свободы человека. Экономическая ситуация и перспективы людей всё ухудшаются, а относительно мирное время (когда кому-то могло показаться, что «малые» войны идут где-то далеко и убивают не так больно) взрывается массовыми жестокими войнами, которые неизбежно втягивают в себя всё больше стран.

Эту проблему надо решать всем нам. Но её нельзя решить введением очередной утопии, когда воля и разум миллиардов людей заменяются придуманной кем-то схемой общего блага, требующей принести ей в жертву человеческую свободу. Такие политические теории не ведут к счастью и не решают проблему, а сами являются ею.

Решение — в свободе. Развитие криптоэкономики, борьба за неподконтрольный государствам интернет, отстаивание своих прав и своей автономии перед любыми благовидными предлогами их отобрать — всё это шаги по правильному пути, и они вселяют в нас надежду. Мир ненасильственного взаимодействия, свободно принимаемых людьми решений, полное распоряжение собственной жизнью, судьбой и имуществом — это не только наиболее желаемый вариант будущего, но и единственная жизнеспособная альтернатива наблюдаемой нами государственнической катастрофе.

Сегодня Хавьер Милей одержал победу на выборах президента Аргентины, став первым в истории президентом-либертарианцем. От лица Либертарианской партии России и от себя лично я поздравляю с победой президента Милея и вице-президента Викторию Вилларуэль; поздравляю руководителя предвыборной кампании Ивана Дюбуа, чей самоотверженный труд увенчался заслуженным успехом; поздравляю движение La Libertad Avanza и всех аргентинцев.

Сейчас вы сделали то, что многим странам, включая мою, ещё только предстоит. Вы получили весомый шанс на сохранение и приумножение своей свободы. Да, чтобы прочно воплотить этот шанс в жизнь, вам предстоит немало потрудиться и столкнуться со многими рисками. Но альтернативы борьбе за свободу нет — точнее, в этой «альтернативе» мы все живём сейчас и хотим из неё выбраться.

Единственная надежда для мира — это свобода. И сегодня эту надежду олицетворяете вы. Вместе с вами, с радостью за вас и с надеждой для нас всех я говорю: ¡Viva la Libertad!

The World’s Hope of Freedom. Javier Milei Elected Argentinian President

Each year, our world progresses to become an even scarier place. In these twenties, we have all witnessed unprecedented attacks on human rights and freedom done by the states throughout the world. The economiс situation and people’s prospects are getting ever worse, and a relatively peaceful period (during which it might even seem as if “small” wars take place somewhere far away and don’t kill that hard) exploded in brutal mass wars inevitably involving more and more countries.

The problem is ours to solve. But it can’t be solved by implementing the next utopia, by replacing the will and conscience of billions of people with someone’s brainchild of a “common good” idea, requiring personal liberty to be sacrificed to it. Such political theories don’t bring happiness and don’t solve the problem (instead, they are one).

Freedom is the solution. The rise of crypto-economy, the fight for the Internet free of governmental interference, the upholding of one’s rights and autonomy in the face of any persuasive excuse to take them away; these are all steps in the right direction, bringing us hope. The world of non-violent cooperation, of decisions made freely by people, full possession and disposal over one’s own life, choice and property — not only this is the most welcome future, but also the only viable alternative to the statist collapse we’re witnessing now.

Today, Javier Milei has won the presidential election in Argentina, becoming history’s first Libertarian President. On behalf of the Libertarian Party of Russia, as well as on my own, I congratulate President Milei and Vice President Victoria Villarruel on their victory. My congratulations go to Ivan Dubois, Milei’s campaign chief of staff, whose dedicated work has led to well-deserved success. I congratulate the La Libertad Avanza movement and all Argentinians.

You have achieved today what other countries, including mine, have yet to experience. You’ve got a significant chance to save and grow your freedom. Sure, you’ll need to put a lot more work and a lot more risk into it to make this chance a firm reality. But there’s no alternative to freedom; or, rather, the “alternative” is what we’re all living in and trying to get rid of.

Freedom is the world’s only hope. Right now, you’re embodying that hope for the whole world. So I’m saying with you, with joy for you and with hope for us all: ¡Viva la Libertad!
